Richard Thayer
B.A., B.S. University of Nebraska. Has been with HKS for 11 years as Director and serving on the Executive Management Team.
After 4 year of teaching high school, he entered sales with Hanes Corporation in New York. Became District Manager and Regional Manager and left after 13 years to become partner in a Johnson Waters Marketing in Kansas City/Minneapolis. Five years later he sold his interest to partners and started a Executive Recruiting Firm in Omaha. During that time also started a food/catering business. After selling those businesses he started a non-profit state based public policy (think-tank) with a office at Bellevue University. He continues to be active in public policy by serving on boards of the State Policy Network (SPN), Indiana and the Reason Foundation in California.
